Annual Report of 2022

The annual report of Vigdís International Centre for Multilingualism and Intercultural Understanding for the year 2022 is now available online and can be downloaded here.

The report contains the centre’s new strategy, in which the centre commits itself to be the national promoter and one of the major Nordic participants of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages 2022–2032. This new strategy spans over the next decade and has been developed and affirmed in 2022. The centre worked tirelessly for its shaping in line with the general mission of the centre as per the Agreement between the Government of Iceland and UNESCO, the Global Action Plan for the UN’s International Decade of Indigenous Languages 2022–2032, UNESCO’s Medium-Term Strategy for 2022–2029 and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The report also provides a detailed overview of last years’ research projects, exhibitions, events, publications and other activities.
