A group of three representatives of the Canadian and French Commissions for UNESCO visited the Vigdís International Centre for Multilingualism and Intercultural Understanding (VIC) today.

In the meeting, which was held in connection to the meeting of European Commission for UNESCO hosted by the Icelandic Commission earlier this week, the representatives were introduced to VIC’s main activities, mainly within the framework of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032). Other work within the Centre was also discussed and the possibilities for future collaboration. The guests also visited The Living Language Lab, the Centre’s recently opened language-exhibition.
