Women, leadership and the sustainability of languages and cultures

Women leaders convened in Veröld – House of Vigdís on Tuesday evening, 19 November, and discussed women, leadership and the sustainability of languages and cultures. 

Katrín Jakobsdóttir, Prime Minister of Iceland, Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, former President of Iceland, Julia Gillard, former Prime Minister of Australia, Dalia Grybauskaitė, former President of Lithuania and Irma Erlingsdóttir, Director of the UNU-Gender Equality Studies and Training Programme, took part in the panel discussion. 

The event was held in conjunction with The Reykjavík Global Forum Women Leaders, by the University of Iceland, the Vigdís Finnbogadóttir Institute and the Council of Women World Leaders.
